Psoriasis is a skin disease that affects many people. It manifests itself by the appearance of red patches that flake off on the face, joints, palms of the hands and knees. But the scalp is not spared. On the contrary, the scalp is struck by this disturbing skin problem that causes itching and unpleasant irritation. Fortunately, there are natural solutions to deal with it.

USING SHAMPOOS AGAINST PSORIASIS

To treat this dermatological problem, the best remedy to use is psoriasis shampoo. This shampoo, based on vegetable products, is effective in soothing the unbearable itching caused by psoriasis. At the same time, it also prevents the appearance of dandruff, the flakes that occur after scratching the scalp. Not forgetting its soothing action against redness.

In general, psoriasis shampoo should be used for 1 month to soothe the symptoms. As for frequency, it is advisable to use it 2 to 3 times a week, depending on your hair type. For oily hair, 2 to 3 times a week is ideal, which is not the case for dry hair. In fact, a single cleansing is more than enough to protect the hydrolipidic film of the scalp. Otherwise, it is also advisable to air dry, in order to limit external aggressions. In both cases, you should know that itching is soothed from the first application, provided you choose the right cosmetic.

USE A HAIR CARE PRODUCT THAT STRENGTHENS AND SOFTENS HAIR

Apart from psoriasis shampoo, it is also advisable to use fortifying and softening hair care products. These must indeed be able to deeply cleanse the scalp, removing excess sebum and dead cells. Nevertheless, even though they have this cleansing action, they must remain gentle, without causing irritation or aggression. In order to avoid itching attacks, shampoos or overly cleansing products should not be used. The latter are certainly cleansing, but because of their composition, they cause irritation. They contain chemical substances that cause allergies or irritations that are unpleasant for the hair and skin.

The hair care products used must also have moisturising properties. This moisturising action is essential to protect the hair fibres against external aggressions. That’s not all, it also gives shine to the hair, so that it remains shiny, despite the presence of scales. Of course, it is possible to use several hair care products, such as masks, conditioners, and oil baths. However, before using them, it is always best to find out about their action and effect.

CHOOSING CARE PRODUCTS BASED ON NATURAL PRODUCTS

To soothe psoriasis of the scalp, it is best to opt for natural care. These are considered effective treatments because they do not cause irritation. In fact, there are many of them on the market. Nevertheless, the most interesting remains the care based on cade oil. Remember that cade oil has been known since ancient times for its cosmetic properties. It does indeed have a soothing and healing action that helps to overcome psoriasis. For this reason, it is used in the main composition of certain hair care products, such as shampoos, lotions or masks. Otherwise, it is also an excellent antiseptic to relieve the itching caused by psoriasis.

Apart from cade oil, it is also possible to opt for Dead Sea. Rich in salt and minerals, it is recommended for treating psoriasis of the scalp. It helps to eliminate the desquamation while cleaning the hair. Like cade oil, it is one of the main components of shampoos and other hair cosmetics.

OTHER NATURAL CARE PRODUCTS TO FIGHT PSORIASIS

There are other natural treatments for psoriasis of the scalp. This is the case with chamomile. Possessing soothing virtues, it is effective in treating this dermatological problem. To do so, simply apply a decoction made from its leaves to the areas to be treated. Otherwise, you can simply use the essential oil previously diluted in a vegetable oil. In addition, it is also possible to opt for oatmeal. Known for a long time for its soothing action, it calms the irritations caused by psoriasis. In this case, it prevents the appearance of dandruff on the scalp. To take advantage of it, 100 grams of oatmeal must be boiled in 5 litres of water. Then let it cool before applying it to the parts to be treated.

Alternatively, aloe vera can also be used. Used for years for its dermatological properties, it helps to fight psoriasis on the scalp. This time, the gel should be applied to the patches so that the active ingredients can penetrate the skin. It should be left for a few minutes before rinsing with clear water.
